There's going to be a three-day consecutive interpretation cycle between French and Arabic. We're looking for two French-speaking volunteers. We'll have one foreign speaker and one interpreter. You can think of me as the Arabic-speaking guy who knows nothing about French. Monday and Thursdays at 9 PM AMMAN TIME
As of Monday 28th,
Good morning Doctor.
I'll be glad to to give it a try.
But, I have some questions, please.
Will it be from French into Arabic?
What's the level and the length of each text/ passage to be interpreted?
Will the cycle be recorded or live streamed?
@Mar
Hello, *** I suggest to start with an elementary level too, since Nihad and me haven't used French for a long period. And I like the context of a student asking questions. We'll try to get out of the shell gradually via refreshing our memories.
So as Nihad decided to be the French speaker and you are the Arabic speaker.
I guess you should find a way to prepare the script. Am I supposed to prepare any thing?
Hi Nihad. Call me Mar. You can both agree on anything. It could be a presentation, a training a commercial transaction, etc. Anything works for me. I am going to be your assistant.
I really prefer to be called Mar (not ***) in English. Correct! In every exchange, there will be three participants: a French speaker, an Arabic speaker and an interpreter.
ok, i am thinking to start with basic conversations like (how to introduce our selves in French).
i like to speak French first and you do the interpretation, what do you think?
Am I missing any French speaking friend?
In the 9th cycle the, you will divide labour among yourselves. We need you to exchange the roles of a French business woman and an interpreter. Other members will be the Arabic speaking customers.
